Twitch streamer Zack "Asmongold" Hoyt's secondary channel has reached the top spot for viewership on the streaming platform. His alternate account "zackrawrr" has accumulated over 5 million hours watched in just two weeks, making it the most-viewed channel on Twitch.
The data came from SullyGnome, a Twitch analytics service, which stated that Asmongold's alt channel recorded 5,032,178 hours of watch time over the past 14 days. This achievement places him ahead of other popular streamers like Caedrel and Hasan Piker, who recently returned to the platform after a ban.

What makes this milestone interesting is that Asmongold has been using his secondary channel exclusively, despite having a main account. For a long time, the "zackrawrr" channel operated without monetization, offering fans an ad-free viewing experience.
The lack of ads, however, created issues for Twitch. Reports indicate that the platform approached Asmongold about the high costs his unmonetized channel was generating due to its popularity. After these discussions, Asmongold finally joined the Twitch Partner Program in late 2024, allowing him (as well as Twitch) to earn revenue from the channel.
When subscriptions became available on "zackrawrr," the response was immediate. The channel gained thousands of subscribers within minutes of enabling the feature in December 2024. By March 2025, his subscriber count has settled at around 7,000, showing a decrease from the initial surge. This drop might be related to Asmongold's reluctance to actively promote subscriptions to his audience.
Despite his impressive total watch hours, Asmongold ranks seventh in terms of average viewers. His streams typically attract around 46,000 concurrent viewers. In comparison, Spanish content creator Ibai leads this category with over 400,000 average viewers. Ibai also holds the record for the highest concurrent viewership on Twitch, reaching 3.7 million viewers during his "La Velada Del Año 4" event last year.
Asmongold's rise to the top comes despite several controversies throughout his career. He recently stepped down as co-owner of the content group One True King (OTK) after making controversial comments about the conflict in Palestine. These remarks also resulted in a temporary ban from Twitch in October 2024, forcing him to issue a public apology before returning to streaming.
Twitch itself might have mixed feelings about Asmongold's success. While his popularity brings traffic to the platform, his controversial nature and minimal ad usage could complicate their relationship. A former Twitch employee, speaking anonymously, explained that "streamers who consistently push boundaries while maintaining massive audiences present both opportunities and challenges for the platform."
It remains to be seen whether "zackrawrr" will maintain its position as Twitch's most-watched channel in the coming weeks or if another streamer will claim the top spot. For now, despite the controversies, Asmongold's dedicated fanbase continues to tune in for his commentary on gaming and current events.
