Did you hear about the new game Tides of Annihilation? It's got quite the impressive voice cast connection to Baldur's Gate 3!
Jennifer English, who voiced Shadowheart in BG3, is playing the protagonist Gwendolyn - you could recognize her voice instantly in that trailer.
And here's the cool part - her real-life partner Aliona Baranova is in it too! She's playing Mordred, that blonde character Gwendolyn fights in the library scene.
Baranova actually tweeted about it, saying "not many recognized me as this blonde badass in the trailer, and that's on range."
It's pretty awesome they get to work together on this project - "playing opposite each other" as Baranova put it.
The game itself looks incredible - set in a fantasy version of a destroyed London where Gwendolyn is the last survivor.
Reminds me of Bayonetta mixed with Shadow of the Colossus - fast-paced magical combat where you can summon Arthurian-inspired knights.
No release date yet, but at least we know it's coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Have to say, it was definitely the standout reveal from the PlayStation State of Play last week.
Some fans even bought it's unplayable placeholder file for $22 on Microsoft store, which platform later removed it and offered refunds.
But it shows the excitement among the fans for the dark fantasy!
Wonder what Gwendolyn and Mordred's relationship will be like in the game? Enemies-to-lovers perhaps? Or just straight-up rivals?
Either way, it's exciting to see this BG3 talent bringing their skills to a new fantasy action-adventure!
