BGMI to Host First-Ever In-Game Wedding for Real Gamer Couple

Krafton India is taking in-game experiences to a whole new level with a one-of-a-kind wedding celebration inside Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). 

The spotlight is on Tanupreet and Jaspreet, a real-life gamer couple from Meerut, who are known in-game as OnFire X Hades and OnFire X Veronica. From being BGMI squadmates to tying the knot in real life, their story is being turned into a virtual celebration for the whole BGMI community to enjoy.

The digital wedding festivities will unfold on BGMI’s official Instagram handles, kicking off with a Mehendi ceremony on April 8, followed by a Sangeet on April 9 featuring none other than singer Benny Dayal, and wrapping up with the big wedding ceremony on April 11. 

It’s a first-of-its-kind moment in India where a mobile game is hosting such a detailed, real-world inspired event on its platform.

Adding a unique twist to the celebrations, celebrity designer Ritu Beri has created special BGMI-themed wedding outfits for the couple. The outfits blend classic wedding couture with elements from the battle royale game, showing how gaming is increasingly becoming part of mainstream Indian culture.

And the guest list? It’s stacked. Popular content creators like Tanmay Bhat, Purav Jha, and Mritika Trivedi have already started sharing their excitement by unboxing BGMI-themed wedding invitations on social media. 

Even Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra is getting in on the action with a cheeky post about his “faux-FOMO” for not getting an invite.

Well-known gaming influencers such as Mortal, Scout, Kashvi, and Mamba are also set to join the fun by unveiling their own invites in the days to come.
