A new Marvel video game featuring Black Panther is in development, with recent leaks suggesting players will have the opportunity to control multiple characters from Wakanda's rich universe.

The single-player adventure game, being developed by EA's Cliffhanger Games, promises to deliver an immersive experience set in the vibrant world of Wakanda.

According to prominent Call of Duty leaker TheGhostOfHope, the game will feature a diverse roster of playable characters including T'Challa, Shuri, Killmonger, M'Baku, and Azari. Each character will come equipped with their own unique arsenal of weapons, specialized armor sets, and distinctive gadgets, offering players varied gameplay experiences.

The combat system draws inspiration from authentic African martial arts, blending traditional fighting styles with superhuman abilities and advanced Wakandan technology. This unique combination aims to create a distinctive combat experience that stays true to the Black Panther's cultural roots while embracing the character's superhero elements.

The game's world will be expansive and diverse, as revealed by inside sources. Players will have the freedom to explore various environments, from bustling Wakandan cities to vast savannahs, each area offering unique cultural encounters and character interactions. The development team has opted for an over-the-shoulder perspective, similar to modern action-adventure games, to enhance player immersion.

One of the most intriguing aspects, as highlighted by the leaked information, is the game's reactive narrative system. Player choices and actions will significantly impact the story's progression, leading to different missions, storylines, and character dynamics.

The project, first announced by EA in 2023, is being crafted by an experienced team led by Monolith's Kevin Stephens. Industry veterans who have worked on major titles such as Halo Infinite, God of War, and Call of Duty are contributing their expertise to the development.

A job listing posted last year confirmed that the game will feature an open-world setting, suggesting players will have considerable freedom to explore Wakanda.

Currently, no release date has been announced.
