Brawl Stars Cancels Mysterious April Collaboration, But Hints at Possible Return

Brawl Stars

A promised special collaboration for the mobile game Brawl Stars has been canceled, according to game lead Frank.

This news comes after the latest Brawl Talk video showcased upcoming features but noticeably lacked mention of a highly anticipated collaboration that was scheduled for April 2025.

While Brawl Stars did recently partner with UNO for a card-based game mode and a Chester skin, Frank clarified on social media that this was not the "really, really cool collab" teased in 2024.

Responding to a fan question on X (formerly Twitter), Frank explained that the content shown in April's Brawl Talk represented a "complete pivot" from their original plans.

The collaboration appears to have been scrapped late in development, which explains why players were expecting it after Supercell's announcement last year. However, fans shouldn't completely lose hope.

In the same conversation thread, Frank offered some reassurance when a player expressed disappointment about the canceled project. According to the game lead, the work is "not necessarily lost" and Supercell might revisit the collaboration "at a later point."

This leaves the door open for the mystery collaboration to eventually reach players, though no timeline has been provided. Supercell is maintaining their characteristic secrecy about what exactly this partnership would have entailed.

Brawl Stars has previously delivered successful collaborations with major entertainment properties. As per fan responses on social media, previous partnerships with Toy Story, Godzilla, and SpongeBob SquarePants were well-received by the community.

The current Brawl Talk video still provided plenty for players to look forward to, including new Brawlers, skins, and special events.
