EA College Football 26 Release Date Confirmed

Electronic Arts has officially announced that EA College Football 26 will launch on July 10, 2025, with early access beginning July 7 for those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition. 


The game will be available exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms, continuing the trend of skipping PC release like its predecessor.


The upcoming title marks the second installment in the revived franchise after an 11-year hiatus. EA Sports College Football 25 was not only the top-selling video game of 2024 but also became the best-selling sports game in U.S. history, creating high expectations for this follow-up.


Pre-order Options and Bonuses


Players can choose between several editions of the game, each with different bonuses:


Deluxe Edition Pre-order Bonuses:

EA is also offering an MVP Bundle, which includes both College Football 26 and Madden NFL 26 Deluxe Editions. This digital-only bundle comes with additional exclusive content not available in the standalone editions.


Those who played last year's game can purchase the College Football 26 Deluxe Loyalty Edition on PlayStation and Xbox platforms to receive 10% off their purchase, all Deluxe Edition pre-order bonuses, and a 99 OVR Player Pack for use in College Football 25 Ultimate Team.


This loyalty program extends to the MVP Bundle as well, offering the same 10% discount to players of Madden NFL 23, Madden NFL 24, Madden NFL 25, or College Football 25.


What We Know About College Football 26


While the full reveal of the game is scheduled for May, several key details have already emerged:


  • The game will feature three different covers

  • Real college coaches will be included in the game

  • A new score bug has been implemented

  • Popular players like Alabama's Ryan Williams, Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith, and LSU's Garrett Nussmeier attended a photoshoot in March, potentially for the cover art


According to The Athletic, EA Sports has increased compensation for college athletes who opt into appearing in the game. Players who agree to have their names and likenesses included will receive $1,500 and a deluxe version of the game, up from the $600 compensation offered for College Football 25.


Along with College Football 2026, EA Sports also announced Madden 26 launching on August 14, 2025.
