Infinity Nikki is finally making its way to Steam on April 29 — and it’s bringing some big upgrades with it.
Developed by Papergames and published by Infold Games, Infinity Nikki is an open-world dress-up adventure that fuses fashion, platforming, and puzzle-solving into one seriously cozy experience.
Unlike your typical RPGs, it trades heavy combat for creativity, relaxation, and pure self-expression across the vast world of Miraland.
Originally released on December 5, 2024, for Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, and PC (via Epic Games Store), Infinity Nikki marks the fifth entry in the Nikki series — and the first to step into the console and broader PC gaming world.
Now, with its Steam debut, even more players will get to dive into its magical wardrobe-filled adventure.
The Big 1.5 Update: Bubble Season Begins
Alongside the Steam release, Infold Games is also dropping Infinity Nikki Version 1.5, nicknamed "Bubble Season" — and it’s headlined by something fans have been asking about since launch: two-player co-op.
According to the official press release, co-op lets you team up with a friend to explore all of Miraland together, including the brand-new Sea of Stars area.
You’ll be able to teleport to each other, snap stylish photos, and share all-new interactions. Crossplay between platforms hasn’t been confirmed yet, though, so stay tuned on that front.
"Bubble Season" also introduces special co-op challenges. You'll work together to:
Use bubble props to reveal hidden paths.
Escort a delicate bubble safely through a winding obstacle course.
Take on new platforming and puzzle challenges designed for pairs.
Meanwhile, Serenity Island has transformed into a bubble-filled festival ground, complete with a Bubble Gondola ride and a new outfit that lets players summon soaring water columns for extra movement options.
Fresh Fits and New Fashion Systems
Because it wouldn’t be an Infinity Nikki update without new outfits, Version 1.5 is adding two new five-star outfit sets and five free costumes — including the legendary fan-favorite Sea of Stars set.
There's also a brand-new dye system debuting this season. Like the wardrobe features in MMOs like World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV, players will now be able to recolor their outfits, customizing individual pieces to create unique looks.
Infinity Nikki and the Rise of Gacha Games on PC
Infinity Nikki's Steam launch highlights a growing trend in 2025: mobile gacha games finding new life on PC platforms. Titles like Blue Archive are also making the jump this year, suggesting that the once niche genre is slowly but surely winning over a broader audience in the West.
With cozy vibes, cross-genre gameplay, and now the ability to share the adventure with a friend, Infinity Nikki's next chapter looks like it’s about to be its most stylish yet.
