Krafton’s latest title, inZOI, has made history by becoming the fastest-selling Korean game ever, reaching 1 million units sold in just seven days following its early access launch on Steam in late March.
This record-breaking performance surpasses Nexon's Dave the Diver, the previous titleholder, which achieved the same milestone in 10 days back in 2022.
In comparison, Neowiz's Lies of P took a full month, and Stellar Blade needed two months to hit 1 million sales—highlighting just how extraordinary inZOI's momentum has been.
The sales spike was immediate. Krafton revealed that inZOI topped Steam’s global top-selling chart within just 40 minutes of release.
Its success has been especially pronounced across North America and Asian markets, signaling broad international appeal.
inZOI is a next-gen life simulation game where players create customizable avatars to live out alternative digital lives—building careers, exploring hobbies, forming relationships, and even starting families. While it draws comparisons to The Sims, inZOI pushes the genre forward with next-level innovation.
The game offers over 250 customization options and integrates advanced generative AI features directly on the device. A standout is the AI-powered companion character, Smart Zoi, which learns and evolves with the player. Add in photorealistic visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, and you’ve got a game that blends realism with creativity.
Analysts believe this level of innovation fills a long-standing gap in the life simulation genre, especially as fans continue to await the next Sims installment.
This success represents a significant achievement for Krafton, which has been seeking another hit after its shooter game PUBG: Battlegrounds.
Fan feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, especially around the game’s blend of traditional simulation mechanics and AI tools.
On Steam, the game reached a peak of 87,377 concurrent players and currently attracts a modest 10,000 to 15,000 players daily.
