Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds has achieved remarkable concurrent player numbers on Steam, breaking into the platform's all-time highest ranks.

The game just reached a peak of 1,384,608 simultaneous players, establishing it as one of Steam's most popular titles.

This impressive figure represents more than four times the previous series record when Monster Hunter World peaked at 334,000 concurrent players.

The success extends beyond just comparing to its predecessor, as Wilds has now surpassed major releases like Marvel Rivals and Cyberpunk 2077 in peak player count.

According to SteamDB, on Day 2 of release, Monster Hunter Wilds now overtook DOTA 2's all-time concurrent player record of 1,295,114. This milestone places Wilds in the 5th most-played game in Steam history.

What makes this achievement particularly noteworthy is that Wilds is a premium-priced game, while most games on the list including DOTA 2 are free-to-play.

This weekend, it holds the position of the second most concurrently played game on Steam, trailing only Counter-Strike 2.

This substantial player count is especially impressive considering Monster Hunter Wilds is also available on consoles. While console player data isn't publicly accessible like Steam figures, the combined cross-platform numbers likely pushed Wilds' total concurrent players even higher on release day.

The game continues to attract both veterans and newcomers to the Monster Hunter franchise, with many players still discovering its complex hunting systems and diverse weapon selection.
