Palworld is preparing to launch a major crossplay update by the end of March 2025. This update will allow players on different platforms to play together for the first time.

Currently, players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC cannot join the same servers. This limitation has prevented friends on different platforms from enjoying the game together. The upcoming crossplay feature from developer Pocketpair will solve this problem by connecting all player bases.

The development team has been busy improving the game since its launch. The recent Feybreak Island update added several new features which helped the game to reach over 200k CCU on Steam after months. This update introduced new environments, creatures, boss battles, and gameplay mechanics.

Players can now send their Pals on resource-gathering missions and unlock new abilities through a research laboratory. For those seeking extra challenges, the update added a hardcore mode with permanent death. Pocketpair has also increased the difficulty level by introducing Bounty NPCs and Predator Pals that roam the world. These tougher enemies drop rare resources needed for advanced crafting.

The crossplay update is expected to bring many players back to Palworld, as they'll finally be able to play with friends regardless of their chosen platform. However, Nintendo Switch users shouldn't expect to see the game on their console anytime soon, likely due to the ongoing legal disputes between Nintendo and Pocketpair.
