Palworld Announces Dating Sim That's Actually Real This Time

Palworld! More Than Just Pals

It seems Palworld’s developers at Pocketpair have turned what was once an April Fool’s joke into reality.

On March 31—just a day shy of April Fool’s—they announced "Palworld! More Than Just Pals," a dating sim spin-off from their wildly popular monster-collecting survival game.

Initially teased in 2024 as a gag, the concept has now materialized with an official Steam page and a new trailer, leaving fans both stunned and intrigued.

In this game, you play as a transfer student at the prestigious Palpagos Private Academy, where you can forge friendships or pursue romance with various Pals—those quirky creatures from the original game.

Characters like the mysterious Katress, the affectionate Lovander, and even human figures like Nurse Saya are on the roster of potential love interests.

The twist? You can also choose to "dismember and eat" your Pals, adding a darkly humorous edge that fits Palworld’s offbeat tone.

There’s no release date yet, just an "in development" promise, but it’s already wish-listable on Steam.

Pocketpair’s community manager, Bucky, has insisted this isn’t another prank, and the timing (announced before April 1st) plus the detailed Steam listing lend credibility.

They’re even running a Lovander body pillow giveaway to celebrate, which feels like peak Palworld chaos.

Whether this ends up as a full-fledged game or an elaborate troll remains to be seen, but for now, it’s real enough to get fans talking—and maybe swooning over their favorite Pals.
