After multiple delays, the highly popular survival adventure Palworld is now officially available on Mac.
The game can be purchased through the Mac App Store for $29.99, maintaining the same price as other platforms.
While this marks a significant expansion, not all Mac devices can run the game. According to the official Mac App Store listing, Palworld requires macOS 14.0.0 and at least an Apple M1 chip, which debuted in late 2020. This means Mac desktops or laptops released from 2021 onward should be compatible.
Currently, Palworld is only available for Mac computers and not yet for iPhone or iPad users. However, a mobile version is in development. Pocketpair is working with PUBG developer Krafton to bring the game to mobile platforms, though no official release date has been announced.
The Mac release comes shortly after the game’s first anniversary, during which Pocketpair revealed that Palworld had surpassed 32 million players across Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation.
The game's momentum is expected to continue, with a 2025 roadmap featuring crossplay co-op and advanced progression content.
Additionally, Pocketpair has secured major collaborations with Sony and its Aniplex subsidiary for expansions into comics, merchandise, and more.
Despite its success, Palworld is currently facing a legal dispute with Nintendo over alleged patent infringement. However, no final ruling has been made, and the controversy has not slowed down the game's growth and expansion plans.
