FromSoftware Reveals PC Requirements for Elden Ring Nightreign Ahead of May Release

Elden Ring Nightreign

With just one month to go before launch, FromSoftware has officially revealed the PC system requirements for Elden Ring: Nightreign — the highly anticipated cooperative spin-off expanding the Elden Ring universe.

The studio dropped the specs on their social media channels, giving players plenty of time to prep their setups before Nightreign hits PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on May 30.

First unveiled during The Game Awards 2024, Nightreign offers a new twist on the Lands Between experience. The game transports players to Limveld, a procedurally generated region where teams of up to three must battle fierce enemies, survive environmental threats, and endure three full in-game days before a final showdown.

Solo play is available too, but Nightreign is clearly built with co-op adventuring in mind.

Official PC System Requirements

Here’s what you’ll need to dive into Limveld:

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-10600 or AMD Ryzen 5 5500

  • Memory: 12GB RAM

  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 4GB

  • DirectX: DirectX 12 (Feature Level 12.0)

  • Storage: 30GB

  • Sound: Windows-compatible audio device

Recommended Requirements

  • OS: Windows 11

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-11500 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600

  • Memory: 16GB RAM

  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB

  • DirectX: DirectX 12 (Feature Level 12.0)

  • Storage: 30GB

  • Sound: Windows-compatible audio device

FromSoftware noted that these specs reflect the launch version of the game and could evolve over time with future updates and expansions.

Still, Nightreign only requires 30GB of storage, which is modest compared to today's typical AAA releases that often demand 100GB or more.

However, the 12GB minimum RAM requirement may nudge some players with older setups toward an upgrade before setting out into Limveld’s ever-changing dangers.

With Elden Ring recently surpassing 30 million copies sold, Nightreign is shaping up to be one of the most exciting spin-offs in years.
