Pocketpair, the studio behind the viral sensation Palworld, has suddenly become a hotspot for game developers seeking publishing opportunities. Within just one week of announcing their new publishing division, the company has been flooded with an astounding 150 game pitches, signaling a tremendous vote of confidence in their publishing platform.

John Buckley, the publishing manager, revealed the outstanding response, highlighting that he personally received over 1,500 LinkedIn connection requests in the first 24 hours alone.

The company already launched its label by signing its first third-party project with Surgent Studios, known for the upcoming game Tales of Kenzera: Zau. Founded by actor Abubakar Salim, famous for voicing Bayek in Assassin's Creed: Origins, Surgent Studios is set to develop a horror game slated for release this year.

While the company doesn't reveal the details about the next potential projects it has maintained an open and transparent approach. In an official statement, they stated: "We're blown away by the interest from developers, and we're doing our best to review each request and pitch."

Despite this enthusiasm, Pocketpair remains pragmatic and clarified that they cannot assist every developer. "Of course, we cannot help everyone, but we’re determined to help as many great games get made as possible."

This publishing initiative comes on the heels of Palworld's extraordinary success, which sold over 25 million copies in the first month and still maintains a healthy userbase on Steam. The game distinguished itself in the competitive monster-catching genre by introducing innovative gameplay mechanics, despite facing copyright infringement allegations by Nintendo.

But this legal suits don't hold them back, as soon after they expanded to PlayStation 5, partnered with Krafton for mobile port, launched a new game on Nintendo itself, and now their own publishing label.

For developers interested in partnering with Pocketpair Publishing, detailed information and submission guidelines are available on their official website.
