PUBG Mobile has unveiled a thrilling collaboration with popular K-pop group BABYMONSTER as a part of its seventh-anniversary celebrations. According to official announcements from Tencent Games, the collaboration introduces an array of interactive features across the Erangel and Rondo maps.
What Makes This Collaboration Special?
The partnership brings several exciting elements to the game. Players can now explore a BABYMONSTER-themed video bus that appears on the game maps. When approaching the bus, gamers will be greeted with a special ringtone and a welcome message from one of the BABYMONSTER members.
Other Exclusive In-Game Features Includes:
A dedicated BABYMONSTER Music Player featuring their latest track "Drip"
A special photo zone where players can capture virtual memories
Unique BABYMONSTER Sketch Space gifts and cosmetic items
A new DRIP dance emote that allows players to groove to the group's music
Vincent Wang, Head of PUBG MOBILE Publishing at Tencent Games, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. "We're excited to bring the excitement and vibrancy of BABYMONSTER to the game," Wang stated, emphasizing the unique fusion of music and gaming.
For those unfamiliar, BABYMONSTER is a K-pop group formed under YG Entertainment in 2023. The group comprises seven talented members from different countries: three from South Korea (Ahyeon, Rami, Rora), two from Japan (Ruka, Asa), and two from Thailand (Pharita, Chiquita).
This collaboration is part of an emerging trend of partnerships between gaming platforms and Korean music artists. Previously, other K-pop groups like Blackpink and New Jeans have collaborated with PUBG, creating unique cross-industry experiences. Most recently Overwatch 2 and LE SSERAFIM collaborated for the second time with new skins and cosmetics.
The PUBG Mobile x BABYMONSTER collaboration is a limited-time event running until May 6th.
