PUBG Mobile Teases the Return of Godzilla in a New Collaboration

PUBG Mobile has recently hinted at an upcoming collaboration featuring the iconic monster Godzilla.

The event is teased with cryptic messages like on March 23 X post “The ocean shudders—what will rise?” with visuals of a massive creature lurking near Erangel’s Military Base bridge, hinting at Godzilla’s looming presence.

A Different Godzilla This Time

Unlike previous collaborations tied to Legendary's MonsterVerse, such as those during "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" and "Godzilla vs. Kong," this partnership appears to be with Toho Co., Ltd., the original creators of Godzilla. The teaser image prominently features Toho’s logo, indicating that this event will be centered around Toho’s version of the iconic kaiju rather than its Hollywood adaptations.

Toho introduced Godzilla in 1954 with the film Gojira, using the creature as a metaphor for nuclear destruction. Over the decades, the franchise has evolved into a global phenomenon. One of its most acclaimed iterations, Shin Godzilla (2016), received multiple prestigious awards, including Best Picture at the 40th Japan Academy Film Prize.

What to Expect in the PUBG Mobile x Godzilla Event

While official details are still under wraps, leaks have already provided insight into what might be coming. According to popular PUBG Mobile leaker Mad Tamizha, the collaboration will bring exclusive in-game items, including:

• Mythic outfits inspired by Godzilla

• Weapon skins themed around the monster

• Vehicle skins with Godzilla-inspired designs

• A potential mini-Godzilla companion pet

Given PUBG Mobile’s history with kaiju-themed events, players might see special mechanics introduced to enhance the battle royale experience.

The recent 3.7 update in PUBG Mobile has reintroduced several classic locations in Erangel, including the iconic bridges. Given the teaser's depiction of Godzilla near the Military Base bridge, players can anticipate the monster's presence in this area, reminiscent of previous in-game events.​

When Will the Event Go Live?

While PUBG Mobile has not yet announced an official release date for this collaboration, the event is expected to drop soon. In the meantime, players can participate in the ongoing PUBG Mobile x BABYMONSTER event.​
