What Is the Skyesports Champion Series 2024?
The Skyesports Champion Series (SCS) is an annual open-for-all BGMI mobile gaming tournament organized by Skyesports, one of India’s leading esports companies.
SCS 2024 will be the second iteration of this tournament and aims to build on the success of SCS 2023, which saw a peak viewership of 131,000 during the finals.
For 2024, Skyesports is expanding the scope and scale of the tournament.
This time, there will be open qualifiers allowing BGMI teams from across India to participate.
Out of these, the top 18 teams will move to the semi-finals, joining 6 invited teams like Blind Esports, IQOO Soul, and Godlike thanks to their past championship pedigree.
What is the Tournament Format and Schedule?
Here is an overview of the Skyesports Champion Series 2024 tournament stages:
Open Qualifiers (February 2024): Registered teams compete to qualify
Semi-Finals (Feb 27 - March 3): 24 teams (18 qualifiers + 6 invited) divided into 3 groups - Round-robin format
Finals (March 5-10): The top 16 teams from the semi-finals battle for the ₹10 lakh prize pool
The finals will be held online and live-streamed for fans to watch.
This expanded format allows more BGMI squads to showcase their skills on a national stage.
