Capcom Brings Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess to Nintendo Switch 2 on Launch Day

Capcom is hitting the ground running on June 5, 2025, by launching two of its biggest titles—Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess—on the brand-new Nintendo Switch 2. Both games will be available day one, giving early adopters some serious firepower right out of the gate.
Street Fighter 6
Capcom’s flagship fighting game, Street Fighter 6, is coming to Nintendo’s next-gen console with a host of new features tailored for the Switch 2. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting started, the game offers multiple control styles, enhanced audio accessibility, and intuitive tutorials that make it easy to dive into the action.
But Switch 2 players are getting even more:
Exclusive Joy-Con motion control support via a new Gyro Battle Mode
Local Battle Mode for couch multiplayer and spontaneous matchups
Tabletop Mode with shared Joy-Cons for instant one-on-one fights

Capcom is also releasing the Street Fighter 6: Year 1–2 Fighters Edition on launch day, available across all platforms including Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, and PC. This edition includes:

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Also arriving day one is Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Capcom’s visually stunning, Japanese folklore-inspired action strategy game. Priced at $39.99, the game puts players in control of Soh, a warrior tasked with defending a divine maiden named Yoshiro from corrupted creatures known as the Seethe.
Gameplay is split into two phases:
Daytime: Cleanse villages and prep defenses
Nighttime: Defend Yoshiro against incoming waves of enemies
The Nintendo Switch 2 version includes:
Enhanced gyro and optional mouse controls
A new mode called “Otherworldly Venture”, offering a fresh perspective on the game’s core strategy-action loop(This content will also roll out as a free update on other platforms)
