NODWIN Gaming, an India-based esports company, has teamed up with Riot Games to run the NODWIN Valorant Challengers South Asia 2025 (VCSA 2025).
The tournament will take place from March 4 to July 14, featuring a new format, a prize pool of INR 1.13 crore (about $129,600), and more opportunities for new teams to join.
The 2025 tournament introduces a three-split structure, allowing teams from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, and the Maldives to compete throughout the year.
Teams Velocity Gaming (VLT) and Aura have already earned spots through the VCSA Qualifiers, which are now closed for registration.
According to The Esports Advocate, the tournament features the three-split format, spanning across the year.
VCSA Qualifiers: Before Split 1, all teams from across South Asia had the chance to enter through open qualifiers, creating opportunities for fresh talent to break into the professional scene.
Promotion and Relegation System: After Split 1, a new system will come into effect. This system allows high-performing teams from the open circuit to move up to the main tournament.
The revamped point system for 2025 aims to increase competitive spirit among teams, especially toward the end of the season.
Points accumulated throughout all three splits will determine the top four teams, who will then battle in the Ascension Qualifiers.
The winning team earns the honor of representing South Asia at the VCT Ascension Pacific 2025, where they will compete against the best teams from other regional Challenger tournaments.
Akshat Rathee, NODWIN Co-Founder & Managing Director, expressed enthusiasm about the tournament:
"NODWIN Valorant Challengers South Asia represents the pinnacle of competitive Valorant esports in our region. With the exciting new three-split structure, promotion and relegation dynamics, and a prize pool of INR 1.13 cr, we aim to deliver an unforgettable season for players and fans alike."
He added that their partnership with Riot Games focuses on creating a sustainable framework for esports in South Asia, providing opportunities for new talent while allowing established teams to showcase their skills.
NODWIN Gaming has been expanding its global presence in the esports industry over the past year. As a subsidiary of India-based mobile company Nazara Technologies, NODWIN has made several significant acquisitions recently, like Ukraine-based tournament organizer StarLadder and Berlin-based esports marketing agency Freaks 4U Gaming GmbH.
