Vodafone Idea Launches 'Vi Game to Fame' Esports Tournament Featuring Call of Duty Mobile

Vi Game to Fame

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has launched its first-ever grassroots esports tournament, "Vi Game to Fame," marking a major step in its foray into the esports scene. Though this is Vi’s inaugural esports event, the company is no stranger to the gaming world. Vi Games, a feature within the Vi mobile app, already offers users cloud gaming on the go.

With the launch of this esports tournament, Vi aims to elevate its brand presence and further boost the growing esports scene in India.

Tournament Details

The "Vi Game to Fame" tournament officially kicks off today, and the game at the heart of the competition is none other than Call of Duty Mobile, one of the world's most popular first-person shooters. The grand finale will be held at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024, the biggest tech fest in Asia.

Participant Information

Gamers, take note: registrations for the tournament are now open and will remain available until October 5. If you're interested in joining, you can sign up through Vi's official website.

The top six teams from the online qualifier will advance to the final stage. The finals will feature two groups competing in a round-robin format at IMC 2024.

Competition Format and Grand Prize

The tournament structure is designed to intensify competition. The top two teams from each group will move forward to the semi-finals, where they will face off in a best-of-five format. The winning team will have the opportunity to play a show match against the reigning national Call of Duty Mobile champions, Team Vitality.

This thrilling format and the chance to battle against Team Vitality bring added excitement to the "Vi Game to Fame" tournament, making it a must-watch event for esports fans.
